I was born a Hindu. But I had ceased to be one by the time I came out of college at the age of 22.
I had become a Marxist and a militant atheist.
I had come to believe that Hindu scriptures should be burnt in a bonfire if India was to be saved.

NIGHTMARE OF NEHRUISM
excerpts from the book :
There are Hindus who start the other way round, that is, with Bharatavarsa being a holy land (punyabhumi) simply because it happens to be their fatherland (pitribhumi) as well as the field of their activity (karmabhumi). They honour Hindu society because their forefathers belonged to it, and fought the foreign invaders as Hindus. Small wonder that their notion of nationalism is purely territorial, and their notion of Hindu society no more than tribal. For me, however, the starting point is Sanatana Dharma. Without Sanatana Dharma, Bharatavarsa for me is just another piece of land, and Hindu society just another assembly of human beings. So my commitment is to Sanatana Dharma, Hindu society, and Bharatavarsa in that order.

Beggar can be Choosers
..... A man walks past a beggar every day and gives him Rs. 10 and that Continues for a year. Then suddenly the daily donation changes to Rs. 7, 50. " Well," the beggar thinks, " it's still better than nothing." A year passes in this way until the man's daily donation suddenly becomes Rs. 5. " What's going on now?" the beggar asks his donor. " First you give me Rs. 10 every day, then Rs. 7,50 and now only Rs. 5. What's the problem?" " Well," the man says, " last year my eldest son went to university. It's very expensive, so I had to cut costs. This year my eldest daughter also went to university, so I had to cut my expenses even further ." " And how many children do you have?" the beggar asks. " Four," the man replies. " Well," says the beggar, " I hope you don't plan to educate them all at my expense". Keep Smiling

the math homework
A little boy was doing his maths homework. He said to himself,” Two plus five, the son of a b!tch is seven. Three plus six, the son of a b!tch is nine..." His mother heard what he was saying and gasped, "What are you doing?"
The little boy answered, "I'm doing my maths homework, Mom." "And this is how your teacher taught you to do it?" the mother asked. "Yes," he answered. Infuriated, the mother asked the teacher the next day, "What are you teaching my son in maths?"
The teacher replied, "Right now, we are learning addition." The mother asked, "And are you teaching them to say two plus two, the Son Of a b!tch is four?" After the teacher stopped laughing, she answered, "What I taught them was, two plus two, THE SUM OF WHICH, is four."

problems can help
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly, that he brought home. One day a small opening appeared he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours. It struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, but, it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. He continued to watch the butterfly, he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and the body would contract. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.The man acted with well-intentioned kindness but he didn't understand the consequences. The restricting cocoon and the struggle required to get through the tiny opening, were nature's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were to go through life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been and we could never flySo the next time you are faced with an obstacle,a challenge, or a problem, remember the butterfly.Struggle a little - then fly!

A little food for thought.
A man whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. 'Very few people were true Nazis' he said, 'but manyenjoyed the return of German pride, and many morewere too busy to care. I was one of those who justthought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we hadlost control, and the end of the world had come. Myfamily lost everything. I ended up in a concentrationcamp and the Allies destroyed my factories.' We are told again and again by 'experts' and talkingheads' that Islam is the religion of peace, and that thevast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it isentirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminishthe spectre of fanatics rampaging across the globe inthe name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this momentin history. It is the fanatics who march.. It is thefanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting warsworldwide. It is the fanatics who systematicallyslaughter Christian or tribal groups throughoutAfrica and are gradually taking over the entirecontinent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics whobomb, behead, murder, or honor kill.. It is thefanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It isthe fanatics who zealously spread the stoning andhanging of rape victims. The hard quantifiable factis that the 'peaceful majority', the 'silent majority',is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia was comprised of Russians whojust wanted to live in peace, yet the RussianCommunists were responsible for the murder ofabout 20 million people. The peaceful majority wereirrelevant. China 's huge population was peaceful as well, butChinese Communists managed to kill a staggering70 million people. The average Japanese individual prior to WorldWar II was not a warmongering sadist. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy ifthey don't speak up, because like my friend fromGermany , they will awaken one day and find thatthe fanatics own them, and the end of their worldwill have begun.. Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese,Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghanis, Iraqis,Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, andmany others have died because the peaceful majoritydid not speak up until it was too late. The Buzzard
If you put a buzzard in a pen that is 6 feet by 8 feet and is entirely open at the top, the bird, in spite of its ability to fly, will be an absolute prisoner. The reason is that a buzzard always begins a flight from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet. Without space to run, as is its habit, it will not even attempt to fly, but will remain a prisoner for life in a small jail with no top.
The Bat
The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable nimble creature in the air, cannot take off from a level place. If it is placed on the floor or flat ground, all it can do is shuffle about helplessly and, no doubt, painfully, until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can throw itself into the air. Then, at once, it takes off like a flash.
Bumblebee
A bumblebee, if dropped into an open tumbler, will be there until it dies, unless it is taken out. It never sees the means of escape at the top, but persists in trying to find some way out through the sides near the bottom... It will seek a way where none exists, until it completely destroys itself.
Human beings
In many ways, we are like the buzzard, the bat, and the bumblebee. We struggle about with all our problems and frustrations, never realizing that all we have to do is look up! That's the answer, the escape route and the solution to any problem! Just look up….Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up!
